DANA C. BRAUN

Two years after retiring from Cincinnati Public Schools (having taught for 32+ years at Covedale Elementary), Dana heeded the advice of a fellow educator and began water color painting for the first time in 2001.  Painting in Bright, Indiana, with artist Lois Schaich gave Dana an outlet for creativity that heretofore had been confined within the walls of her math classrooms.  Ribbons of accomplishment currently line her ‘studio’ as results of Harvest Home Fair exhibitions.  She has also exhibited her work at The Looker House, the Bright Fire House, and the FCN Bank in Harrison, Ohio.

Of the more than 50 original water colors hanging in her own home, some favorites include portraits of family and strangers, architectural structures visited on a Baltic cruise, and gardens viewed around the country.

 For the past eight years Dana has been enjoying teaching at Cincinnati State.

Monday Story Time

Marianne will once again be reading to children this Monday morning at 10am.  This is a free event put on for Aroma’s customers and their children. 

We will be offering a free small coffee to everyone who brings a child to story time.  No Coupon necessary, just bring a child and ask for a coffee. 

4^th of July Hours

Aroma’s will operate under normal business hours for Friday July 3^rd.  We will be open from 6am to 11pm.  Saturday July 4^th we will operate under reduced hours.  We plan on being open from 8am to 6pm. 

4^th of July Special

Aroma’s will be open from 8am to 6pm on the 4^th of July.  All Red, White, and Blue Gelato flavors will be ½ off.  This is a one time special, so make sure to take advantage of it.  Since this is such a great deal we cannot offer this discount on our pint, quart, or half gallons.    

Aroma’s Celebrates 2 Years of Business

      On July 7^th Aroma’s will turn 2!  We want to thank everyone that has supported our small business.  We could not have hit this milestone without our customers.  Aroma’s is planning a party for the end of July.  We will be announcing the details soon. 

Firecracker Frappe Now Available

That’s right… Aroma’s is celebrating the 4^th of July by introducing Firecracker Frappes.  This is a standard latte with Atomic Fireballs added in for flavor.  Start your 4^th of July off right with a Firecracker Frappe!

Aroma’s will be operating under restricted hours for the 4th of July.  We will open at 8am and close at 6pm.  All Red, White, and Blue Gelato flavors will be 1/2 off.  This will only be available on the 4th.  We cannot offer this special on any of our to-go containers.

Rick Endres Entertains Aroma’s Friday June 26^th

That’s right Aroma’s fans, Rick Endres will once again be performing at Aroma’s on Friday June 26^th.  Rick Endres, a Cincinnati native, is a veteran of the Cincinnati music scene, as both a solo artist and member of the bands Wooden Nickel and Runnin’ On Empty. His playlist is wide ranging and varied, including acoustic rock music from the ’60’s through last week. The most popular material, however, is the classic rock he plays, covering such artists as Eagles; James Taylor; Crosby, Stills & Nash and Neil Young; Gordon Lightfoot; Hootie and the Blowfish; Matchbox 20; and Jimmy Buffett. He also writes his own original music in that vein, and mixes a few of those into his show as well.

Summer Drinks Now Available

Aroma’s now offers new summer drinks!  Gelato floats and Italian cream sodas are now available at Aroma’s.  You should see these delicious drinks on our new menu boards in the coming weeks.

Marianne will once again be presenting story time at Aroma’s.  Marianne will choose a children’s book to read to all children that attend.  Story time starts at 10 am Monday morning.  As a special, for all who bring their children, we will offer a free small coffee.  Please join us for this unique event only at Aroma’s.

Please join us in welcoming Greg Hansen on Friday June 19th.  Show starts at 7:30 pm rain or shine.  Greg Hansen is a local fingerstyle guitarist, playing and singing an assortment of familiar and not-so-familiar songs.  Greg will perform traditional folk tunes, original songs, along with instrumentals.   His solo CD, “The Detour And The Open Road,” is now available.
